Many believers do not live as if they possess great spiritual wealth. A better grasp of this blessing will change how we think—about ourselves and God.
► “God has made very clear in His Word the awesome way He’s provided for us, and yet people oftentimes act as if they’re paupers.”
The moment we trusted Jesus as Savior, God’s promises became ours (2 Pet. 1:1-4). This endless wealth includes …
Reconciliation to the Father through the death of Christ (Rom. 5:6-11). We are now children of God, with a inheritance.
Daily forgiveness of sins (1 John 1:9). We live in a sin-diminished world, but we can confess and be renewed every day.
His continued presence in our life (Heb. 13:5). In the Person of Jesus Christ, we have a traveling companion who will never desert us.
The Holy Spirit. We have the Helper to guide and empower us to do whatever we’re called to do. (See John 14:26).
Provision for our needs (Matt. 6:25, 31-32). God knows our daily needs and will provide for them, no matter what.
Answered prayer (1 John 5:14-15). We can lay our burdens before God with full confidence He will respond.
► “A promise from God is an awesome thing.”
Wisdom (James 1:5). God will help us respond rightly and make wise decisions in every situation.
Peace (Phil. 4:4-7). No matter what’s going on, God will help reduce our anxiety.
The desires of our heart (Ps. 37:4). If our relationship with God is the most important thing in our life, He will fulfill our desires.
Healing (Ps. 103:1-3). All our illnesses will eventually be healed, but God can also restore and strengthen us in our earthly bodies.
Love (Rom. 8:38-39). We possess the love of Almighty God, and nothing can separate us from it.
Eternal security (John 10:27-30). It’s impossible for us to be snatched out of Jesus’ hand or His Father’s.
Heaven (John 14:1-3). Jesus is preparing a place for us, and He will return to take us there.
► “We are God’s created beings indwelt by the Holy Spirit. He that is within you is greater than he that’s in the world.” (See 1 John 4:4.)
